YCHQ Radio with Anoushka Gungadin
Anoushka Gungadin is a leadership coach, speaker and best-selling author. Her passion has led her to don 2 hats in her professional life, with the common intersections of entrepreneurial leadership and personal empowerment.
As a leadership coach, she specialises in working with women business leaders. She has lived on three continents and worked with local women across the world. In 2014, the research she did for the 3 books she co-authored in the Nurtured Woman series, further demonstrates her extensive knowledge on the 3 main challenges women leaders face globally: they are undervalued, underpaid and not where they want to be in life. In response, she has established a 30-week program for women entrepreneurs and executives to become remarkable, visible and create success on their own terms. She emphasises that the way to become highly valued, highly paid and create success in life and work is to explore and embrace their authentic selves, unpack and repackage their talent, expertise and experience and align their life purpose with their work.
She believes that there has never been a more critical time for women to do what they are naturally great at, which is leading with empathy and collaboration. She is adamant that the world and business would be more sustainable and profitable with passionate, highly-skilled women in leadership roles.
Anoushka’s other love is related to her role as the CEO of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (DEIA) in Victoria. Currently present in more than 140 countries, the Award started in 1956 and has become the world’s leading youth achievement award, reaching more than 8 million young people.
Over the past 50 years, it reached nearly 150,000 young Victorians. Over the next 50 years, the vision is to expand the reach to 1 000 000 young Victorians. Anoushka feels privileged to be part of a team working to engage, equip and recognise young Victorians, as she believes many young people today lack leadership, are socially disengaged and waste their potential. The DEIA provides a holistic framework for young people to become empowered leaders, energetic & involved community members and to release their potential. The DEIA create opportunities for success beyond boundaries.
In wearing both hats, Anoushka has a reputation for being straightforward and goal-driven to achieve breakthroughs for her clients. She leaves them feeling in love with their life and work.
Her motto is ‘If you feel there is more to you, then there definitely is. Be curious and courageous, go and explore your route to an authentic, successful and fulfilling life’.
